Wine grape varieties require similar conditions to those required by table grape plants. These varieties can be grown for producing wine, but the grapes can be eaten fresh if fully ripened.

Hops are hardy herbaceous climbers with male and female flowers produced on separate plants. Hops are becoming increasingly popular for brewing, floral arrangements and potpourri. An ex-commercial New Zealand-bred variety with seedless female flowers, which can be used for brewing and potpourri. A vigorous growing plant that climbs up a string or pole. This variety is resistant to phytophthora. Harvest from late February to March.

Exceptionally firm quality fruit, with good flavour. Berries present well and store well. Berries change colour from bright red to dark purple/red after harvest. Harvesting can extend from February through until frosts start. This variety will grow well with no support structure.

An ideal home garden selection that crops in both summer (on first-year canes/primocanes) and autumn (on second-year canes/floricanes). Fruit is very large, light red, firm and easy to pick. The plant is a strong, upright grower to about 1.5m tall.

All-In-One produces heavy crops of soft-shell nuts with sweet, flavourful kernels. This variety can be grown in Northern areas as it needs less winter chilling than other selections but needs a hot summer to ripen. Frost hardy. Semi dwarf - 4.5m.

Monovale produces hard-shell nuts with good flavour. Due to their strong flavour this variety can be used for Marzipan. A heavy cropper and good pollinator. Disease hardy variety. Vigorous grower.
