Superb quality eating brown pear with sweet and juicy large fruit. Regular and heavy mid season cropper. Tree is vigorous with an upright habit that spreads. Has high chilling requirements to set fruit.
Apollo fruit are medium to large size with excellent flavour, Early season. Partially self fertile, so will produce some fruit if planted alone, but will produce larger crops of bigger fruit if planted with another variety nearby. Vigorous upright growth habit.
A very early ripening variety with large, oval, very sweet fruit. Fruit weighing over 300 grams have been reported! Best for local sales as the thin skin can bruise easily.
