WAIMEA OLIVES
Waimea Nurseries has been involved in the production of olive trees since the 1970s, during which time we have gained substantial experience in matching varieties to conditions to ensure maximum yield.
As the commercial olive industry gained momentum in the 1990s, we began to import some of the world’s most successful varieties. We have continued this progression and believe we now offer the best selections to New Zealand’s olive growers.
Waimea Nurseries is committed to the long term future of New Zealand’s olive industry. We are at the forefront of the development of high-density planting systems with the introduction of FS17, an Italian bred variety that suits our conditions and climate. We continue to trial new varieties to ensure that all trees grown in our nurseries are proven to perform well in most areas of the country.
